About Me
I am a GCRF Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellow and Principal Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. I am also the Head (2023-onwards) of the Organic Geochemistry Laboratory within the School of Ocean and Earth Sciences.
I study climate-biogeochemistry interactions in past, present and future environments and specialise in the geochemical analysis of biomarkers (‘molecular fossils’).
My PhD (2011-2015) was completed within the Organic Geochemistry Unit at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Professor Rich Pancost. I remained at Bristol for 4 years as a PDRA.
In 2020, I moved to the School of Ocean and Earth Sciences at the University of Southampton as a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellow. I was awarded a Proleptic Lectureship in 2021 and promoted to Principal Research Fellow in August 2023.
